Work Environment

This full-time position is located onsite at our rehabilitation facility in sunny Daytona Beach, Florida. The work hours are structured from Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 7 PM, and a 4-hour shift on Friday, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screenings, evaluations, and diagnostics to determine patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans in accordance with established physical therapy practices.
• Consult, educate, and train patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and recovery strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in physical therapy and adapt services to provide optimal care to neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Perform subjective and objective evaluations while developing detailed plans of care that include measurable goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care according to regulatory, facility, and departmental practices.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to create cohesive treatment plans and communicate patient progress.
• Supervise all services provided by physical therapy assistants, aides, and students while ensuring high-quality care delivery standards.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development, actively participating in quality improvement processes.
• Maintain safety and functionality of rehabilitation equipment, adhering to operational guidelines.
• Assist with patient billing and department operational tasks as needed, contributing to overall departmental efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Flex Fitness, you will work with a diverse range of patients across various age groups, from neonates to geriatrics, each with unique rehabilitation needs. This role requires a keen understanding of how to tailor treatment approaches to meet the specific therapeutic goals of individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, thereby significantly impacting their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a preference for advanced qualifications such as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with specific focus on a variety of patient populations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in key physical therapy skills, including but not limited to, manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility or similar clinical environment.
