Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. However, you will be part of a close-knit outpatient office that operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that consider cultural factors and personal experiences, developing tailored treatment plans based on these evaluations.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities suited to individual patient needs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, fostering resilience and promoting mental well-being among diverse populations.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care and effective treatment outcomes.

• Provide immediate support during mental health crises, using evidence-based strategies to stabilize situations and connect patients to long-term resources.

• Educate patients and families about mental health issues, demonstrating empathy while informing them of available treatment options and community resources.

• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential patient records to comply with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case conferences and team discussions to enhance cooperative care approaches and address any cultural competency training needs.

• Stay current on the latest research and evidence-based practices in mental health, leading professional development sessions as appropriate.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, with an emphasis on cultural competence.

• A demonstrated ability to deliver therapy that is both effective and sensitive to the cultural needs of participants.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, demonstrating the ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong therapeutic alliances with clients and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation and treatment plans efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n

West Valley Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
