This remote position offers the flexibility of a home-based office while ensuring that our therapists remain deeply embedded in the culture of our outpatient practice. You will connect with your colleagues and patients through telehealth platforms, allowing for seamless communication and collaboration. While most work hours will fall within standard weekdays, occasional evening shifts may be necessary to accommodate patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents, drawing on established assessment tools and techniques.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate the developmental stages of the child and the dynamics within their family environment.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or play therapy, aimed at addressing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in creating a supportive framework for their children’s mental health.
\n
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to care, including regular case consultations and treatment reviews.

• Offer crisis intervention on an as-needed basis, supporting families and children during mental health emergencies and ensuring timely responses.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering a better understanding of mental health.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessments and treatment progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards using our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development workshops to enhance your skills and stay informed of current best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

We specifically cater to children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges. Our team is dedicated to addressing complex issues such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders, with a focus on fostering resilience and emotional well-being. You will work closely with families to create supportive environments that enhance treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.

• Relevant clinical training and a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders as well as evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a dedicated approach to child-centered care.

• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, ensuring a welcoming and effective therapeutic environment.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, along with a working knowledge of telehealth technologies and platforms.
\n
• A collaborative mindset with experience in working within a multidisciplinary team is essential to connect effectively across various disciplines.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with children and adolescents in mental health settings.

• Experience delivering individual and family therapy within outpatient services, with demonstrated success in fostering positive clinical outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, reflecting experience and expertise. We also offer a competitive sign-on bonus.
