Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to determine their emotional and behavioral health needs, developing personalized treatment plans accordingly.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support to patients in distress or at risk, taking swift action to ensure their safety.

• Maintain detailed clinical records and progress notes in compliance with department policies, ensuring that documentation is accurate, timely, and reflective of patient care.

• Liaise with physicians and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to discuss patient progress, highlight concerns, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Develop and nurture relationships with community resource organizations, representing Empower Well at meetings and helping identify resources for patients' social needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor in our detox center, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, often intertwined with substance use disorders. Your expertise will guide patients through the recovery process, instilling hope and resilience as they navigate their unique journeys to wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required for this position.

• Hold an active independent license: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling or therapeutic setting is essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a detox or addiction treatment setting is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Candidates who are well-versed in integrating psychosocial assessments into treatment plans will be particularly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
