Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and impact of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring tailored and individualized care.

• Collaborating closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Implementing evidenced-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address clients' mental health concerns.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and resilience.

• Tracking client progress meticulously and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal care and effective treatment outcomes.

• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.

• Staying informed on the latest research and clinical advancements in mood disorder therapies to enhance your practice and improve patient care.

• Maintaining detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes consistent with industry standards and regulatory compliance.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to foster accountability, share insights, and support one another in meeting each client’s needs.

• Acting as a client advocate by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders in the community and encouraging mental health support.

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT, demonstrating effective outcomes in addressing mood disorders.

• In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology, capable of engaging in meaningful dialogue with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to foster rapport with a diverse patient demographic.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within community health settings or clinics, particularly with a focus on social determinants of mental health, is highly valued. A history of building therapeutic alliances with clients struggling with mood disorders will strengthen your candidacy.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
