Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop individualized aftercare plans for each client to ensure their successful transition from the detox program back into everyday life.

• Prepare and complete all required clinical documentation promptly, adhering to Sharp’s policies and ensuring compliance with state regulations.

• Participate in case management efforts, including conducting utilization reviews and actively collaborating in treatment team meetings.
\n
• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments, create and update treatment plans, and write detailed progress notes following each client session, both group and individual.
\n
• Research, connect, and advocate for community resources—such as food stamps, childcare services, and healthcare options—to enhance each client’s overall welfare and support their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Sharp Mental Healthcare Center, you will primarily work with clients in the detox process, many of whom face challenges related to substance use and associated mental health conditions. Your approach will be client-centered, respecting their individual experiences and unique backgrounds while providing evidence-based interventions aimed at promoting recovery and stability.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A valid and unrestricted California Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW).

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral health or social service setting.

• Demonstrated experience in clinical assessments, case management, and effective conflict resolution strategies.

• Strong skills in taking psychosocial histories and conducting comprehensive evaluations, including suicide risk assessments and forensic assessments.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a detox or addiction treatment setting is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of community resources and networks to support clients’ social determinants of health.

• Familiarity with various treatment methodologies for behavioral health, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
