Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through initial consultations to assess clients' emotional and psychological needs.

• Create individualized treatment plans that address the unique requirements of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Lead therapeutic sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs and facilitating meaningful discussions.

• Monitor client progress regularly, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers to provide holistic care.

• Ensure proper documentation and case management throughout the therapeutic process, utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• Assist families in understanding mental health challenges and in navigating the recovery process.

• Stay informed on latest developments in counseling theories and practices to continually enhance your professional skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily support adults experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. We emphasize a client-centered approach, ensuring that therapy is both individualized and responsive to the diverse backgrounds and experiences of those we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Success in the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings or telehealth environments.

• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.

• Experience working with clients facing substance use issues or co-occurring mental health disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
