Our team creates multi-channel campaigns that include print, digital and web-based projects. Most of our work focuses on Employee Benefit Communications, whose aim is to engage employees and make their benefits information easy to understand. If you’ve ever received a work email letting you know you only have two days left to enroll in health insurance, that’s us!Now we’re looking for an experienced temporary copy editor to ensure our work is technically polished and grammatically pristine.Our team of professionals embraces humor, creativity and individuality. We’d love to know what makes you tick.**Our Ideal Candidate**We are looking for self-starters who are friendly and communicative, possess a high attention to detail, are creative and organized, and can multi-task. If you can meet strict deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, this is the place for you. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and WordPress is required.**A day in the life of a copy editor:*** Review communications for substance, style, grammar, spelling and formatting.* Format and update client deliverables in Adobe InDesign.* Publish and update web content in WordPress.* Ensure deliverables reflect the brand of each client.* Assist with writing or rewriting copy on an as-needed basis.**Our expectations for all team members:*** Be a self-starter who can solve problems independently and manage your own workflow.* Be ready to lend a helping hand when needed and be ready to ask for help when needed!* Be willing to dedicate extra time and attention to complete tasks, when required.**LANGUAGE SKILLS**Exceptional command of grammar, punctuation and style; ability to review and improve others' work while preserving the client’s voice.**WORK ENVIRONMENT*** Remote professional office environment (office equipment including a laptop with the requisite software and/or phone will be provided). You may be remote, but you won’t be alone – you’ll meet our team members during new employee training, keep in touch through Microsoft Teams and catch up with everyone over Zoom sessions.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.**QUALIFICATIONS**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essentials.
