Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments tailored to the individual needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to formulate effective treatment plans.

• Provide continuous counseling and therapeutic interventions to support mental well-being among Black birthing families, including individual psychotherapy and family counseling.
\n
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and records as per regulatory standards and organizational protocols, ensuring compliance and quality of care.
\n
• Engage actively in clinical consultations, sharing insights and strategies with peers to enhance service delivery at our community health clinic.
\n
• Support case management efforts by connecting clients with necessary community resources and additional support services to address their holistic needs.
\n
• Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on Black birthing families, aiming to understand the unique challenges they face during pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. You will provide culturally competent care that respects and addresses the varied backgrounds and personal experiences of each client, contributing to improved mental health outcomes within this demographic.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field is required.
\n
• Active licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect and communicate effectively across diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficient in utilizing digital tools for teletherapy and documentation, familiar with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while seeking support and guidance as necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a community health clinic or similar environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with care models tailored for maternal mental health would be an asset.

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and community outreach initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits\n
