Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver direct behavioral health assessments, counseling, and case management tailored to the unique needs of Black birthing families.
\n
• Engage actively in clinical consultations and multidisciplinary co-learning spaces, sharing insights and strategies for effective care delivery.
\n
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation promptly to ensure compliance with organizational standards and facilitate continuity of care.
\n
• Collaborate with prenatal care team members—including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants—to provide holistic and integrated care.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, partnering with birth workers to enhance community wellness and education.
\n
• Participate in community engagement initiatives aimed at fostering relationships, promoting holistic wellness, and building supportive networks among birthing individuals and families.
\n
• Perform additional related duties as assigned to support organizational objectives and client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on Black birthing families, a demographic often facing unique challenges during pregnancy and postpartum. Understanding their cultural context is essential, enabling you to provide empathetic and effective support. You will empower clients through compassionate counseling and resource navigation, enhancing their ability to thrive through the perinatal period.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is mandatory.

• Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams.
\n
• Strong ability to work independently while effectively managing time and seeking assistance as needed.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with maternal and child health populations or specific training in prenatal and postpartum mental health.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000 per year, reflective of experience and qualifications.
