Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, utilizing evidence-based practices to assess clients' psychological and emotional well-being.

• Develop individualized and effective treatment strategies, including tailored intervention and recovery plans for clients across diverse demographics.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage communication and healing among participants.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize recovery outcomes.

• Engage in regular collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare providers including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, ensuring cohesive care.

• Assist clients in navigating referrals to various services and support systems, enhancing their recovery journey.

• Offer educational resources and emotional support to family members and caregivers, empowering them to assist individuals facing mental health challenges.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, employing preventive strategies to mitigate risks associated with mental health crises.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a varied clientele that includes individuals from diverse backgrounds—ranging from children to seniors—dealing with a wide spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will be instrumental in providing supportive, evidence-based care tailored to each client's specific circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid professional licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A passing score on relevant licensing examinations such as the NCE and/or NCMHCE.

• Strong command of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation efficiently.

• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with managing co-occurring disorders and underlying psychological conditions.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, supplemented by excellent interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

• Proficiency in navigating best practice guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Mental Health Counselor in an outpatient or similar setting.

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and counseling families through complex emotional challenges.
