Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is searching for Accounts Payable Specialists to start immediately for an assignment that offers great long-term potential. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk reports to the Accounting Manager in this fast paced and expanding department. The assignment offers an opportunity to transition full-time. Invoice Processing:· Receive and review invoices from vendors and suppliers.· Verify that invoices are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies.Invoice Approval:· Obtain necessary approvals from authorized personnel before processing payments.· Resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices through communication with vendors and internal departments.Payment Processing:· Schedule and process payments to vendors within specified payment terms.· Prepare and issue checks, electronic transfers, or initiate other payment methods.Vendor Management:· Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.· Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, inquiries, and discrepancies.Expense Reconciliation:· Reconcile vendor statements with the accounts payable records to ensure accuracy.· Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.Document Management:· Organize and maintain electronic and physical records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.· Ensure compliance with document retention policies.
