As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.Review invoices for accuracy, proper documentation, and required approvalsProcess vendor invoices and enter them into the accounting systemSchedule and issue payments through checks, ACH, wire transfers, and online payment platforms while meeting established due datesResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, billing questions, refunds, credits, and payment adjustmentsRespond to vendor inquiries and partner with internal departments to obtain approvals and resolve account questionsReconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationAssist with accounts payable reporting, aging analyses, and audit requestsIdentify opportunities to improve accounts payable workflows, document procedures, and support cross-functional initiativesHigh school diploma2+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or finance experience, Associate's degree preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processesProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting softwareExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExperience identifying and implementing process improvements within accounts payable or accounting operations, preferredSalary Range: $65,000–$70,000 annuallyEligible colleagues enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability coverage401(k)Generous paid time offProfessional development and career growth opportunities via Alera Group AcademyThis position is Hybrid.We're an equal opportunity employer.
