Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for patients in hospice, considering history, current emotional challenges, and specific risk factors influencing their mental health.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to the unique needs of patients in hospice.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing emotional resilience and providing a safe space for connection and expression.

• Collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and chaplains, to provide a holistic approach to patient care that enhances quality of life.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing mental health support, ensuring readiness to assist patients and families in times of distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on patients within a hospice care environment, primarily addressing the emotional and psychological challenges faced by individuals nearing the end of life. The LCSW will also support family members, helping them cope with anticipatory grief, anxiety, and other emotional struggles associated with the impending loss of a loved one.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
