Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and clinical assessments, ensuring a thorough understanding of each client’s unique circumstances.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques that encourage healing and growth.

• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base is diverse, encompassing individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups who face mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical background.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and continuity of care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with individuals suffering from physical and emotional health conditions, including co-occurring disorders.

• A strong understanding of addiction disorders and their impact on mental health.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
