Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' symptoms related to eating disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and determine their specific treatment needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans by analyzing assessment results and working collaboratively with clients to establish achievable recovery goals.

• Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to address the psychological aspects of eating disorders.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on reshaping negative beliefs surrounding body image, food, and self-worth through thoughtful and engaging dialogue.

• Help clients develop effective coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and practical techniques to overcome disordered eating behavior.

• Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure coordinated care and continuity in addressing clients' holistic mental health needs.

• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families to deepen their understanding of eating disorders and create a supportive healing environment.

• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions, treatment plans, and client progress in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous training sessions to advance your clinical skills and stay updated on the latest developments in eating disorder therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrable proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, particularly related to treating eating disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling setting focused on eating disorders and related behavioral health challenges is strongly preferred. Experience working with diverse populations and in community health settings will be considered an asset.
