This position is set in a supportive and dynamic remote community health clinic environment, where communication and collaboration are the cornerstones of effective service delivery. Your work hours will fall within regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work-life balance. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their specific eating disorder symptoms, co-occurring mental health conditions, and overall treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with clients to set realistic and achievable recovery goals.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to effectively address disordered eating behaviors.

• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions focused on challenging and reframing distorted beliefs around body image, nutrition, and self-worth.

• Support clients in mastering healthy coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques, ensuring they are equipped to resist urges toward disordered eating.

• Work cooperatively with our treatment team to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring that all aspects of a client’s mental, emotional, and social needs are addressed.

• Provide educational resources and psychoeducation to clients and families, enhancing their understanding of eating disorders and encouraging a supportive home environment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session details in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Must possess a current and valid license in the state of Kansas as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT.

• Proficient in evidence-based therapies, specifically CBT, DBT, and ACT, and knowledgeable about the complexities of eating disorders.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required, candidates with additional experience working specifically with eating disorders or co-occurring mental health conditions will be given preference. Familiarity with remote counseling tools and platforms is advantageous in this role.
