Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' eating disorder symptoms alongside any co-occurring mental health conditions, establishing a comprehensive understanding of their treatment needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and goals of each client, drawing on your knowledge of best practices in eating disorder treatment.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within your sessions.

• Lead therapy sessions aimed at addressing and reframing dysfunctional beliefs related to body image, food intake, and self-worth, fostering clients' self-acceptance and resilience.

• Support clients in developing effective coping strategies and emotional regulation skills, empowering them to confront and resist disordered eating tendencies.

• Collaborate closely with the treatment team to ensure personalized and cohesive care, addressing clients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of eating disorders, helping create supportive home environments conducive to recovery.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development initiatives to continually expand your clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients with eating disorders, navigating the complexities of these conditions while addressing the co-occurring mental health issues that frequently accompany them. Your expertise will play a critical role in guiding our clients toward healthy relationships with food and body image and supporting their overall mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Tennessee.
\n
• In-depth knowledge and application of evidence-based therapeutic techniques specific to eating disorders, including CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• A keen understanding of the multifaceted nature of eating disorders and related mental health conditions.
\n
• Diverse communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds, fostering trust and openness in the therapeutic setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideally, candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in providing mental health counseling, particularly in dealing with patients facing eating disorders. Familiarity with telehealth practice and the use of digital counseling tools will be an advantage, enhancing your ability to engage effectively with clients in a remote setting.
