Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their eating disorder symptoms and any co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their treatment needs.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with their unique circumstances and recovery goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to facilitate therapy sessions that address and reshape clients' beliefs about body image and self-worth.

• Lead focused therapy sessions where you will assist clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills, helping them resist disordered eating behaviors.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the outpatient setting to coordinate client care, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery that addresses physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of eating disorders and fostering a supportive recovery environment.

• Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions to meet legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.

• Proven expertise in employing evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, specifically CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• A strong foundation in understanding the complexities of eating disorders and the challenges presented by co-occurring mental health issues.

• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with clients effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

To be most successful in this role, we prefer candidates who have a minimum of two years of clinical experience working directly with clients suffering from eating disorders or related mental health challenges.
