Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients’ eating disorder symptoms and co-occurring mental health conditions, ensuring a precise understanding of individual needs.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, actively collaborating with clients to establish attainable recovery goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate effective therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic conversations focused on addressing and reshaping clients' distorted beliefs surrounding body image, self-worth, and food relationships.

• Guide clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation skills, equipping them with strategies to counteract disordered eating behaviors.

• Collaborate closely with our treatment team to coordinate care and ensure the continuity of treatment, addressing clients’ holistic health needs.

• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families, enhancing understanding of eating disorders, and fostering a supportive and informed recovery environment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Contribute to team meetings and case conferences, actively engaging in ongoing professional development to refine skills and broaden knowledge in the treatment of eating disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. You'll work with a diverse clientele, understanding the various backgrounds and experiences that contribute to their mental health challenges. By employing specialized therapies and fostering a safe space for open dialogue, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients on their journey toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Profound expertise in implementing evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, specifically CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• A deep understanding of the complexities associated with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and trust with clients.
