Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify our patients’ unique challenges and strengths, enabling accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment planning.

• Implement and monitor evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities reflective of each patient's cultural background.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address various mental health conditions, fostering resilience and encouraging proactive self-care strategies.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and community resource providers to ensure comprehensive treatment delivery that aligns with best practices and patient preferences.

• Provide urgent crisis intervention services and emotional support during critical mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and firm clinical judgement.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, effectively communicating treatment options and resources available to them for continued support.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation that adheres to all legal and ethical standards and meets organizational requirements.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions, contributing your insights and experiences to enrich our therapeutic environment.

• Stay updated on the latest research and emerging practices relevant to culturally competent mental health therapy, applying new knowledge to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily engage with a diverse client population, including individuals from ethnic and cultural minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants adapting to new cultural environments. Your work will be instrumental in addressing not only individual mental health issues but also the systemic factors that contribute to mental distress among these groups.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid state license as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW is mandatory to practice.

• A deep understanding of various mental health disorders and the ability to employ evidence-based treatment approaches sensibly and effectively.

• Experience in conducting individual and group therapy with sensitivity to cultural differences and employing inclusive therapeutic practices.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with a proven track record of remaining composed during challenging scenarios.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong therapeutic alliances with patients and their families.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is necessary for effective documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is USD 70,000 – 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
