Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individual therapy sessions in clients’ homes or facilitate group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, utilizing evidence-based approaches to guide treatment.

• Implement specialized interventions focused on anger management, coping skills, and social skills development, aiming to mitigate high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Work collaboratively with caregivers to enhance decision-making skills, promoting effective strategies to manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Engage actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, maintaining consistent communication to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Accurately complete and submit all requisite documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within established time frames.
\n
• Participate in regular team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for improving service delivery and addressing client needs.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role directly impacts children and adolescents aged 3-20, particularly those facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your expertise will help these exceptional individuals navigate their unique challenges, leading to improved emotional and behavioral outcomes. Your ability to communicate fluently in Spanish or Portuguese is highly valued, as it allows for more inclusive and effective therapeutic interactions with a diverse client base.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
\n
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a therapeutic setting, particularly with children and adolescents.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM) as well as possible weekend availability.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for transportation to client homes.
\n
• A clear record from a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and interventions.
\n
• Prior work with children exhibiting challenging behaviors or those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD).
\n
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
