Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms experienced by clients.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with clients’ unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address various mental health concerns.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their healing journey.

• Monitor client progress over time, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care delivery and positive outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients, facilitating holistic support.

• Stay informed on current research and advancements in the field of mental health to enhance treatment efficacy and improve client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This therapist position will primarily serve individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You'll engage with a diverse patient population that may include adolescents, adults, families, and individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your work will play a critical role in empowering these clients to navigate their mental health challenges and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .
