Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide immediate mental health counseling to community members and arrestees experiencing mental health crises.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the need for involuntary detention via 5150/5585 applications, collaborating effectively with law enforcement and psychiatric professionals.
\n
• Develop and implement structured action plans tailored to the individual needs of clients.
\n
• Assist clients in securing transportation to psychiatric facilities or locating appropriate shelter accommodations as necessary.
\n
• Create and maintain meticulous records of client interactions and interventions, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
\n
• Engage in inter-agency communication, facilitating collaboration with law enforcement, hospital staff, and other stakeholders.
\n
• Provide short-term crisis counseling and support during mental health episodes, applying de-escalation techniques to reduce stress and anxiety in clients.
\n
• Train police personnel in recognizing and managing mental health crises to promote community wellness and effective interventions.
\n
• Deliver ongoing case management services, coordinating care with third-party mental health agencies and keeping in regular contact with clients.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals undergoing mental health crises, including those in the justice system and community members who seek support. You will encounter a diverse population, which requires cultural sensitivity and an understanding of various socioeconomic backgrounds and mental health conditions. Your role is pivotal in facilitating recovery and promoting the safety and dignity of clients during vulnerable times.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree or higher is preferred.

• Possess a valid LPCC license in California.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Peaceful Harmony, Inc. offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 52,000 to USD 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and expertise.
