While the majority of interactions will be conducted through virtual platforms, there will be opportunities for in-person meetings when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to identify the mental health needs of students and develop individualized treatment plans. This includes evaluating emotional, behavioral, and academic difficulties impacting students.

• Facilitate short-term psychotherapy sessions and group therapy to help students better manage their mental health, including anxiety, depression, and stress related to academic pressures.

• Provide critical crisis assessment and intervention services, working collaboratively with parents and school staff to ensure immediate support and stabilization for students experiencing severe emotional distress.

• Engage in community outreach activities to promote mental health awareness and resources within schools, encouraging a culture of support and understanding among students and staff.

• Participate in ongoing professional training and development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in school-based mental health.

• Perform regular follow-ups with students to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a responsive approach to their changing needs.

• Practice in compliance with legal and ethical standards relevant to social work, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to mandated reporting laws.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting a varied client base consisting of adolescents and college students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The therapist will work to address a multitude of issues, ranging from typical developmental challenges to more severe mental health disorders. Understanding and sensitivity towards the complexities of adolescent mental health is crucial in fostering trust and effectively aiding recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work and current LCSW licensure is required; consideration will also be given to fully licensed LMHC candidates.

Compensation and Benefits\n
