Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions and functional capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic modalities and exercises tailored to the unique needs of each patient to facilitate recovery and improve mobility.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, and support staff to ensure that treatment plans align with patient goals and conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to maximize outcomes and ensure the effectiveness of care at each phase of recovery.
• Provide education, support, and training to patients and their caregivers on rehabilitation techniques, exercises to perform at home, and lifestyle modifications to promote ongoing health.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation to reflect therapeutic services rendered and meet regulatory and compliance standards.
• Actively contribute to a positive patient experience by demonstrating excellent customer service and fostering a welcoming environment within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Gentle Care, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions, including trauma recovery, joint replacements, and sports-related injuries. Our clientele also includes pediatric patients requiring specialized care to address growth-related issues and neurological conditions. Your expertise will play a crucial role in restoring patients' functional abilities and enhancing their quality of life, allowing them to return to their everyday activities with confidence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse patients.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with patients, motivated to help them achieve and exceed their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

While two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with specialized training in areas such as sports medicine rehabilitation, pediatrics, or advanced orthopedic techniques will be highly regarded.
