Work Environment

This position is set within our dynamic outpatient clinic, located in the vibrant city of Alexandria, Virginia. As a full-time professional, you will enjoy a consistent work schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized therapy sessions that focus on restoring motion and functionality to clients, fostering their independence and active lifestyles.
• Effectively manage a caseload of patients, ensuring that each individual receives the time and attention necessary for successful rehabilitation.
• Apply your knowledge of orthopedic procedures to assess patient conditions, devise treatment plans, and implement effective interventions.
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance patient outcomes, employing cost-effective methods to promote physical rehabilitation.
• Design and implement comprehensive care strategies that include strength training, manual therapies, and corrective exercises tailored to specific patient needs.
• Motivate and engage patients throughout their therapy journey, continually adjusting treatment modalities based on their progress and feedback.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a team-based approach to ensure holistic care and positive patient experiences.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation utilizing EMR systems like WebPT, enabling streamlined communication and high-quality care.
• Regularly review and assess treatment effectiveness, making data-driven adjustments to care plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including those who have undergone surgeries, sports-related ailments, and chronic pain issues. Our patient population includes adults of varying age groups, each presenting unique challenges and rehabilitation goals. The clinic's focus on patient-centric care necessitates a compassionate approach, ensuring that you create a supportive environment conducive to healing and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A completed Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic manual therapy and experience delivering tailored exercise programs.
• Strong proficiency in utilizing EMR software, specifically WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and management.
• Current knowledge of contemporary physical therapy methods supported by ongoing professional education.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings or similar environments.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, athletes, and individuals with chronic conditions.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and a strong ability to adapt treatments based on developments in patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with your experience and performance.
