The physical therapist will work onsite in our state-of-the-art Deltona rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, develop tailored treatment plans based on physician directives, and set measurable goals to track progress.

• Document patient treatment sessions meticulously, maintaining records that support the need for skilled therapeutic interventions and submitting necessary billing charges promptly.

• Implement advanced therapeutic techniques and exercises based on best practices and current research to maximize patient recovery outcomes.

• Provide supervision and guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, ensuring that all treatment protocols are followed correctly and effectively.

• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment programs, adjusting plans as necessary to meet patient needs and achieve rehabilitation goals.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including case managers, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Engage in regular communication with the Director to offer constructive feedback, enhance departmental operations, and contribute to an atmosphere of professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida is mandatory.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to document patient progress and communicate effectively with team members.

• Proficient in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation software.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting is highly preferred.

• Experience working within a rehabilitation facility, particularly with varied patient populations, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
