Home and Community Mental Care, Inc. is actively seeking dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to provide remote outpatient therapy services primarily focused on children with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. In this full-time role, you will use your expertise to deliver individualized therapy and support families through complex behavioral challenges, all while working from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral issues.

• Engage in group therapy sessions to enhance social skills and coping mechanisms among young clients.
\n
• Implement targeted interventions aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression through anger management and conflict resolution techniques.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team to create and execute comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
\n
• Document all relevant clinical information including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner.
\n
• Participate in regular case meetings and share evidence-based recommendations with fellow team members.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental and intellectual challenges. Your role will directly impact their ability to navigate daily life and improve their socio-emotional skills, ultimately aiming to foster a supportive environment for these young individuals and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field is required.
\n
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
\n
• A commitment to working a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability being advantageous.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for potential travel to client homes or community resources.
\n
• Successful completion of a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and strategic intervention for high-risk youth.

• Demonstrated history of working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
\n
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, enhancing communication and therapy effectiveness for bilingual clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
