Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities and limitations, establishing baseline measurements of their physical condition.
• Design individualized rehabilitation programs utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Implement treatment sessions effectively, adapting strategies to meet evolving patient needs and progress.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and modify plans as necessary, documenting outcomes accurately and regularly in compliance with health regulations.
• Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures to enhance wellness and prevent recurrence of injuries.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated care and comprehensive patient support.
• Engage in community outreach and educational programs to promote awareness of orthopedic health and rehabilitation services.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest in physical therapy practices, including attending workshops and training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on orthopedic patients, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation following surgeries such as joint replacements to treatment for chronic conditions like arthritis and sports-related injuries. Our diverse patient population includes individuals of all ages, from children to seniors, providing you with an opportunity to apply a broad spectrum of skills and tactics to meet their unique rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• A current and valid state Physical Therapy license in New Jersey is required for practice.
• A strong interest and experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, particularly in outpatient settings.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic cases to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Experience in utilizing therapeutic approaches such as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), McKenzie Method, and evidence-based manual therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
