Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and help identify personalized treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and fostering resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively support patients.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through the trauma processing, coping strategies, and the overall healing process.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated, comprehensive care for clients.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with the knowledge of available resources.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals experiencing trauma related to various situations, including but not limited to childhood adversity, relationship trauma, and catastrophic events. You will engage with a diverse client population, bringing your specialized skills to empower patients on their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven ability to deliver trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Adaptability and composure in high-pressure situations, maintaining professionalism and focus.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Strong capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a strong background in trauma-focused therapy and those who have successfully engaged in working with complex trauma cases are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits\n
