Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and evaluations of new clients utilizing evidence-based practices to develop tailored treatment plans that consider unique histories and circumstances.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques, to help clients cultivate coping strategies and resilience.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation is thorough and up-to-date for quality care and legal standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide integrated and comprehensive care that addresses the whole person.
• Engage actively in regular peer review meetings and case consultations to continuously improve therapeutic techniques and stay informed about innovative mental health treatments.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their recovery journey.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and methodologies, continually integrating this knowledge into your therapeutic practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves adults in the wider Palmdale community, many of whom experience challenges related to anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns. Your expertise in various therapeutic modalities will be essential in helping clients navigate their unique circumstances and improve their mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an active license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW) within the state of California.
• A demonstrated ability to employ solution-focused therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport and trust with clients.
• Proficient problem-solving and critical thinking skills, allowing you to manage complex client situations effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with adult populations within community health or outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client documentation efficiently.
