Lead Software Engineer - AI/Full Stack

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of full-stack application development experience.
• Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced React skills and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, and across the software development life cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methods, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency with software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile development.
• Practical cloud-native experience, such as with AWS.
• Experience with message queues, streaming platforms, pub/sub models, or event-driven architectures.
• Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers in safe, compliant adoption.

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of full-stack AI-enabled applications and conversational AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership across frontend, backend, API, database, and AI integration workstreams.
• Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions using technologies such as React, Python, Java, REST APIs, GraphQL, and databases.
• Guide the implementation of AI agents, AI workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent automation.
• Establish and promote engineering best practices, including clean code, reusable components, automated testing, CI/CD, and design patterns.
• Drive integration with relational and non-relational databases, including SQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Monitor emerging trends in AI, generative AI, full-stack development, and cloud-native engineering, and assess opportunities to apply them.
• Encourage team use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes; set validation standards and promote effective patterns.
• Apply knowledge of software development life cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
