Position Overview

Rain or Shine Physical Therapy Services is looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in The Villages, Florida. As a full-time member of our rehabilitation center, you will play an integral role in enhancing the quality of life and physical well-being of our patients through effective, tailored therapy programs. We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, in addition to a full benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient's physical capabilities to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities to effectively address physical impairments and enhance patient recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes and meet the evolving needs of our residents.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise regimens and strategies to maintain health and mobility beyond therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic care, participating in team meetings and contributing to collective treatment discussions.
• Maintain adherence to state and federal regulations, ensuring that all clinical practices are aligned with professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapist will predominantly work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and age-related physical impairments. This role involves developing close relationships with geriatric patients, ensuring their rehabilitation needs are met in a compassionate, supportive, and Understanding manner. We focus not just on recovery, but how to empower our patients to achieve functional independence.

Qualifications

• A current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory, while a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective patient care and teamwork.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, previous experience of at least two years in a skilled nursing facility or working specifically with geriatric populations is highly desirable.
