Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, starting from the initial consultation and documenting progress throughout treatment.
\n
• Create tailored intervention and recovery plans for diverse client populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate varied therapeutic sessions incorporating both individual and group dynamics to meet diverse client needs.
\n
• Track and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with the clients and other integrative care providers.
\n
• Manage referrals effectively, ensuring clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care across multiple service providers.
\n
• Work alongside psychiatrists and medical professionals, contributing to the comprehensive treatment of clients who may need hospitalization.
\n
• Promote family involvement by educating and supporting family members and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges.
\n
• Identify barriers to recovery and develop proactive strategies to address psychosocial issues affecting clients’ well-being.

The patients served at Joy of Hope Behavioral Health Center include individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong foundation in mental health counseling with previous professional experience in a similar capacity.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health records, particularly AVATAR, or equivalent systems for documentation and client management.
\n
• Knowledgeable about co-occurring disorders, including the interplay between mental health and substance use issues.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices provided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure high levels of care.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a warm, empathetic interaction style.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health services.

• Previous training or certification in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to effectively support clients in distress.

• Background in case management and familiarity with community resources to aid in comprehensive client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
