Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care by performing dermatological procedures and assessments under the direct supervision of a board-certified dermatologist.
• Conduct detailed patient evaluations, formulating treatment plans and implementing physician directives for follow-up care.
• Ensure that medical documentation meets all clinical quality and regulatory compliance standards, maintaining accuracy and thoroughness in electronic health records.
• Educate patients on management strategies for various dermatological conditions, including instructing them on therapeutic regimens and promoting preventative health measures.
• Collaborate effectively with the dermatology team to identify patient care priorities, addressing immediate and long-term health concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by adhering to established medical and safety protocols, including infection control measures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will serve a diverse patient population that includes individuals with a variety of dermatological conditions ranging from chronic illnesses to acute issues. Your empathetic approach and strong communication skills will be essential in building rapport with patients and their families, ensuring they feel valued and understood during their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A successful completion of a registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Board certification and current unrestricted state PA or NP license is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience, particularly in dermatology, is strongly preferred.
• CPR certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• Superior teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific dermatological procedures, such as skin biopsies, suturing, and the management of skin disorders, will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently document and manage patient information.
• Background in patient education and counseling regarding skin health and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits
