Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique mental health needs.

• Provide ongoing individual counseling sessions via telehealth, utilizing evidence-based interventions to promote positive mental health outcomes.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health topics, empowering them to adhere to treatment plans while addressing various behavioral health issues.

• Consult and refer clients to community resources, schools, or support programs that may benefit their treatment and recovery.
\n
• Facilitate communication among families and other relevant stakeholders to establish impactful support systems focusing on mental health.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assist in alcohol and sexual abuse program integration when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work primarily with children and families facing various mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and behavioral issues. You will be responsible for creating a safe, supportive atmosphere where patients feel valued and understood. Your role is pivotal in delivering tailored support to those in vulnerable situations, ensuring they have access to the comprehensive resources they need for effective recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution.

• Current licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of psychological theories and research, focusing on human behavior, individual differences, and developmental needs.

• Proficient in interview techniques and up-to-date with current mental health trends and methodologies.
