Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities as a Remote Mental Health Counselor will include, but are not limited to:

• Engaging actively in clinical consultations, multidisciplinary meetings, and co-learning sessions to enhance service delivery and professional growth.

• Completing all required clinical documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
\n
• Developing and implementing individualized behavioral health assessments and treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients.
\n
• Providing direct counseling services, including support and guidance to Black birthing families experiencing a range of mental health challenges.
\n
• Performing case management duties to connect clients with necessary community resources and services, facilitating comprehensive care.
\n
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives that aim to elevate practice standards and client outcomes within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role has a specialized focus on serving Black birthing families, recognizing the unique experiences and challenges this demographic faces. You will work closely with clients to build trust and provide culturally sensitive interventions that address mental health needs during a critical period of their lives.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
\n
• An active licensure in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) within California.
\n
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to connect professionally and empathetically with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
\n
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating initiative and the willingness to seek assistance when needed.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly valued:

• Previous experience working with birthing families or specific populations in need of maternal mental health support.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and the ability to navigate virtual therapy modalities effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
