Location: Morrisville, NC (100% Onsite) Pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00/hr Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST (40.0 hours/week) Assignment Dates: 10/12/2026 – 10/15/2027; 1-year contract assignment

Overview: The Laboratory Assistant works alongside senior technical staff at UL Solutions to process laboratory samples, set up testing equipment, and execute wireless radio testing protocols. Situated in Morrisville, NC, this position follows structured test plans, records observed data, interprets blueprints and schematics, and generates reports and graphs to detail test outcomes. The role maintains test equipment and workspace compliance while supporting continuous improvement and security standards.

Job Specifications:

• Set up, adapt, and operate standard laboratory test equipment and tools according to test plans and datasheets
• Execute wireless radio testing, process lab samples, and record observed or calculated data on appropriate datasheets
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational procedures
• Evaluate test performance and sample behavior, analyze results, and prepare charts, graphs, and summary reports for engineering review
• Maintain and calibrate assigned test equipment, perform routine workspace care, and ensure compliance with physical/digital security practices
• Operate laboratory information systems and software terminals to input, extract, and maintain test data
• Communicate effectively with internal engineers and clients during test setup and execution to ensure accurate sample evaluation
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field required
• Hands-on experience with wireless radio testing protocols preferred
• Working knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIMS) and general laboratory equipment required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams required
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and reporting skills (ability to plot data and draft technical reports) required
• Commitment to adhering to safety policies and corporate codes of conduct required
