Remote Mental Health Therapist - Addiction Recovery Specialist

Position Overview

Immediate Cure Mental and Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address both addiction-related and underlying mental health issues.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other therapeutic professionals, to ensure a cohesive treatment approach.
• Educate and involve clients’ families in the treatment process, fostering a supportive network for recovery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records that comply with state regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. Our clients encompass a diverse demographic, including various ages, backgrounds, and levels of substance use severity. The goal is to empower individuals to reclaim their lives through tailored therapeutic support and recovery resources.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.
• Specialized training or significant experience in addiction counseling is essential.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment practices for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals in addiction treatment settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client progress and maintain treatment plans.
• Experience in using group therapy frameworks to facilitate positive group dynamics and encourage peer support.

Compensation and Benefits
