Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' progress, needs, and concerns, effectively communicating these findings with physicians and the broader healthcare team.

• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge plans, adhering to departmental protocols and best practices.

• Develop and implement individualized plans for treatment and discharge, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary team members and engaging in ongoing evaluation of treatment efficacy based on psychosocial assessments.

• Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention to patients, employing evidence-based methodologies to address emotional and behavioral problems.

• Assist clients in navigating discharge planning processes, initiating care coordination with various regional providers to enhance access to necessary services.

• Consult with families and support systems, integrating their input into client treatment and discharge strategies to foster a holistic approach to mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Bright Shelter Healing Center, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will involve understanding and respecting the unique cultural backgrounds and life experiences of clients, ensuring that treatment modalities are tailored to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient setting is essential to ensure a proficient understanding of treatment frameworks and patient engagement.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering evidence-based treatment methodologies and mental health services.
