Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a vibrant educational setting near Newark, DE. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference throughout the school year, providing individualized support to a dedicated caseload. Your role will be instrumental during a full-year medical leave, working Monday through Friday, offering 35 hours of support each week.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (not pending; must submit proof).
Ability to obtain CBC fingerprinting at $85 and agreement to complete prior to assignment.
Prior experience as a school-based paraprofessional preferred, especially working within elementary settings.
Male paraprofessionals strongly preferred to align with specific student needs.
Commitment to full contract duration through June 2027.

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one and small group support for students, helping to implement individualized educational plans.
Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Monitor progress, assist with classroom management, and encourage student participation.
Adapt to daily classroom activities and fulfill additional tasks as assigned.
Maintain professional communication with school personnel and follow district guidelines and protocols.
