Job Description

Take the next step in your career supporting students as a valued paraprofessional in a vibrant school environment near Hockessin, DE. Two onsite contract opportunities are available for immediate start, continuing through June 8, 2027. Your dedication will provide meaningful assistance to elementary-aged learners and make a lasting impact in their school experience.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (not pending or in process). If permit is pending, include a screenshot from the DEEDS portal when applying.
Experience as a paraprofessional in education settings, especially at the elementary level, preferred.
A background in therapeutic support services is highly desirable, particularly for roles serving students with extensive emotional needs.
Willingness to complete required CBC fingerprinting ($85 fee; candidate responsibility).
Male candidates are particularly encouraged to apply for full-year medical leave coverage due to caseload needs.
RBT candidates must understand that BCBA supervision must be sought independently and the role/classification is paraprofessional, not RBT.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide direct, daily support to students in a classroom setting.
Assist teaching staff in implementing plans to support student learning and behavioral goals.
Contribute to inclusive and positive learning environments.
Support students in the STRIVE program, offering specialized assistance for those with emotional or therapeutic needs.
Maintain professional documentation and uphold all school and district policies.
