Work Environment

This position is primarily centered around home care, providing therapeutic services directly in clients' homes. You will need to adapt to various home environments and client conditions while employing innovative treatment techniques. A typical workweek is Monday through Friday, allowing for structured days dedicated to client care and interdisciplinary collaboration. You will play a crucial role in the community, fostering positive relationships that enhance the healing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment, focusing on pain relief, muscle function development, and maximizing client performance according to tailored care plans.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, ensuring that treatment plans are executed effectively and with the highest standards of quality.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests, specifying personalized therapeutic strategies for each individual.
• Assess clients' home environments and offer insightful recommendations to facilitate independence in daily living.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises, manual treatments, and physical agents to support recovery and rehabilitation goals.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with professional and state regulations.
• Collaborate as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to plan comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
• Instruct clients and their families on physical therapy techniques, home exercises, and the use of necessary equipment to support ongoing recovery efforts.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on clients' evolving conditions and feedback from caregivers and other healthcare staff.
• Complete all clinical documentation and treatment orders in a timely manner, adhering to branch policies.

The Physical Therapist will work with diverse populations, primarily focusing on clients receiving home care services. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, and elderly patients requiring rehabilitation support. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in acute or home care settings.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with a commitment to maintaining good standing.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
