Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, as we provide home care services to clients across the beautiful landscape of Appomattox, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including the review of historical information, specific assessments, and documentation of results.
• Develop, explain, and implement detailed treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs while actively incorporating family goals and feedback.
• Utilize both standard and advanced treatment modalities to ensure optimal outcomes for patients, adapting as necessary based on real-time assessments and healthcare trends.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with multidisciplinary teams and engage in consultations when required to enhance patient care.
• Document patient interactions precisely and in a timely manner, including evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, community outreach, and marketing initiatives to promote the practice and its values.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental goals, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and training initiatives aimed at enhancing personal and team competencies, while serving as a clinical instructor for students.
• Promote service excellence by actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving access to care for patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with diverse orthopedic patients requiring rehabilitation after surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise will aid patients in regaining mobility, strength, and functionality, necessitating a thorough understanding of various orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Active state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred Experience
