Work Environment

This role will primarily be onsite at our Home Care facility in Appomattox, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients in a safe, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and orthopedic disorders.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical findings.
• Providing informed consultations to healthcare providers, ensuring a seamless continuum of care for all patients.
• Maintaining up-to-date documentation of treatment sessions, evaluations, and progress according to professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Effectively collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and support staff, to enhance patient outcomes.
• Engaging in community outreach and education initiatives to promote health and wellness.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff and interns, fostering their professional growth in clinical settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse range of patients experiencing orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, injury recovery, and chronic pain management. You will be expected to adequately interact with patients across various age groups and cultural backgrounds, ensuring respectful and personalized care that adheres to our high customer service standards.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience
