Empower Rehab Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic Rehabilitation Center team in Appomattox, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care by examining, evaluating, and creating tailored treatment plans for individuals facing functional limitations and disabilities. Work Environment

This full-time position will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Appomattox, Virginia. You will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, which may include variable weekends, as we strive to accommodate our patients' needs. As part of our connected healthcare team, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional limitations and disabilities, developing personalized treatment plans based on clinical evidence and best practices.
• Provide consultations to other healthcare providers regarding each patient's continuum of care, ensuring a seamless experience across treatment phases.
• Engage in diverse patient interactions, delivering customer-focused service that respects all ages and cultures.
• Document evaluations and implement treatment plans that include ongoing reassessment and education for patients and their support networks.
• Collaborate closely with the Integrated Treatment Team, sharing insights and updates to enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in leadership activities such as community outreach, program development, and supervision of PTA(s), AT(s), and student interns.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings, maintaining and enhancing your professional competence through continuing education opportunities.
• Properly manage documentation practices and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will be responsible for optimizing their physical performance, enhancing mobility, and improving their quality of life. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are mandatory.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records and word processing, are necessary for proper patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates with a strong foundation in physical therapy practice, a background in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred. Experience with interdisciplinary team collaboration and community outreach programs will be beneficial.
