Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist at Amarante Orthopedic Clinic is set in a dynamic, onsite environment within our advanced healthcare facility. Here, you will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nutritionists, to develop integrated treatment plans tailored to each patient. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to recognize and meet their specific rehabilitation goals and needs.
• Manage an average patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized attention and care.
• Implement diagnostic and therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' movement and functional independence, including individualized stretching and strengthening programs.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, such as manual therapy, modalities, and therapeutic exercise, to promote recovery while minimizing medication reliance.
• Develop customized care plans as part of a collaborative approach to treatment, adjusting techniques based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Document all therapeutic interventions and responses in accordance with clinic policy and for continuity of care.
• Engage in ongoing communication with other healthcare professionals relating to patient progress and treatment adjustments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient base is predominantly individuals with private medical insurance, seeking specialized orthopedic rehabilitation for a variety of conditions ranging from sports injuries to post-operative recovery. We cater to a wide age group and emphasize personalized care strategies that consider each patient's unique lifestyle and rehabilitation needs. By focusing on a holistic and patient-centered approach, our goal is to optimize each individual's functional outcomes, encouraging a return to their daily activities and personal pursuits.

Qualifications

• Graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Must hold an active Physical Therapy license in Washington, DC with no disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy skills essential for effective treatment.
• Proficiency in creating and delivering effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, is required for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in working with a diverse patient population, utilizing compassionate communication skills that foster patient trust.
• Prior involvement in developing and overseeing wellness and fitness programs can enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to the financial compensation, our benefits package includes health insurance, a retirement plan, paid time off, continuing education opportunities, and professional development support.
