Work Environment

You will be working onsite at a modern rehabilitation facility in Carteret, New Jersey, where innovative therapy techniques and a patient-centered approach are emphasized. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, improving muscle function, and enhancing the maximum performance of each client according to their individual capabilities.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the seamless implementation of care plans, providing necessary guidance and support during patient treatments.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' levels of function through various diagnostic tests, assessing muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Assess and enhance the home environment to facilitate rehabilitation efforts, proposing modifications that promote client independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services in line with physician prescriptions, including administering manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and treatment modalities involving physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices when necessary, providing recommendations to healthcare providers.
• Participate in care plan development and modifications, ensuring that the evolving needs of the client are met through active observation and documentation of changes in condition and treatment response.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences to review and strategize comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress updates, and discharge summaries.
• Instruct clients and their families in the effective use and care of physical therapy devices and emphasize the importance of adherence to the overall therapy program.
• Remain accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during treatments, providing expertise and answering questions as needed.
• Complete additional assignments that align with organizational goals and enhance client outcomes as requested.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions. Each client presents unique challenges, and it is essential to tailor therapy approaches to address individual needs, promoting not only physical recovery but also emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey with no history of sanctions or board actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise programs.
• Knowledgeable in current physical therapy practices supported by research.
• Skilled in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically Web PT, for precise documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successful patient outcomes and positive feedback from clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
