Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while engaging with clients through telehealth platforms. You will be a vital part of a distributed team that values flexibility, innovation, and compassion in delivering care. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for some evening shifts based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use challenges to identify co-occurring disorders, using standardized evaluation tools.
• Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, focusing on integrated pathways to recovery.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that equip clients with essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention skills, and emotional management techniques.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure holistic treatment plans are effectively implemented and monitored.
• Engage clients using motivational interviewing techniques to foster intrinsic motivation for recovery and support their ongoing engagement in the therapeutic process.
• Educate clients and their families about the interconnection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the critical importance of adherence to treatment regimens.
• Maintain precise documentation of all treatment activities, client progress, and any referrals made, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences aimed at enhancing clinical skills and knowledge specific to co-occurring disorder treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals with complex backgrounds affected by both mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Our clients often require tailored approaches that consider their unique experiences and cultural contexts. As a therapist, you will support them in navigating their paths to recovery through compassionate care and informed therapeutic practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, particularly concerning co-occurring disorders.
• Strong understanding of the psychological dynamics between mental health issues and substance use challenges.
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to function effectively within a diverse and interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health or substance use treatment setting.
• Experience in providing telehealth services is an advantage, particularly regarding the establishment of therapeutic rapport through a virtual medium.
• Familiarity with Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and similar frameworks for addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.

Compensation and Benefits

Cure Tablet offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
